Tree Plantation
We measure our footprint in saplings planted and nurtured, ensuring the forest grows denser with every gathering.
Music. Nature. Community.
A gathering that invests in giving back.
Sounds of Soil is a biennial music and culture gathering in Soyal Village, Manali — deliberately intimate, original and rooted in nature.

Sounds of Soil is a quiet rebellion against concrete tourism. Every gathering should leave something behind that matters — not just memories, but a measurable contribution to the landscape and community that hosts it.

We measure our footprint in saplings planted and nurtured, ensuring the forest grows denser with every gathering.

Active conservation of our crystal-clear alpine streams and indigenous aquatic life.

Empowering local homestays, traditional artisans and youth through mindful, decentralised hospitality.
In 2023, glacial floods swept through Kullu-Manali, erasing decades of quiet village life. Soyal Village — 14 km from Manali — too faced an existential crisis. And now, with a hydro project under construction and growing tourism, its flora, fauna and culture are all under threat.\n\nSounds of Soil was born not as a charity concert, but as something more enduring: a gathering with the intent to transform the economic and cultural life of a remote Himalayan village, edition by edition, forever.
“We didn't want to save Soyal. We wanted to give it the tools to save itself.”

Sounds of Soil turns cultural attention generated through artists and influencers into practical opportunity for locals — supporting nature, animal welfare, village enterprise, skills and responsible tourism.

Supporting artists, makers and creative expression rooted in the local community.
Creating opportunities for local people, businesses and village-led initiatives.
Encouraging tourism and gatherings that respect the landscape and its people.
Supporting knowledge-sharing and practical opportunities for the next generation.
Established voices. Cult favourites. Emerging originals. Musicians who belong in this landscape.
